Ok, It still needs ironed. I will get to that. Honestly, seems like a miracle that I finished anything thing, let alone my One Monthly Goal. This month has been crazy. I had the flu and I managed to get shingles for a second time. So, for a good two weeks, I laid around and did very little. When I get sick I am not allowed to take my Rheumatoid arthritis medication, so then there is the added effects of that. I am feeling better, finally. Not 100%, but on my way. I feel like I have been away from my blog forever. I have missed seeing everyone’s wonderful work. Need to get caught up on my reading. I truly believe, if not for the One monthly Goal, I would not have finished a thing this month, including my I wish you a merry Quilt Along Top.
So about my holiday quilt top. I needed to use up my snowflake fabric, so that is what I used for sashing. Not sure how I feel about the top. Need to look at it a while longer before I decide. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a wonderful 2018.
Happy Sewing
Happy Quilting

So sorry to hear you have been battling flu and then shingles, something I must see about getting a shot for to hopefully prevent a tangle with it. The top looks gorgeous. Well done on finishing it in spite of such challenges.

Lovely. I’ve made a few of these blocks, but then Life got in the way and they are still on my to-do list. Maybe for next year.

I love your quilt top!!!!! I also love how you did the sashing. That is one impressive accomplishment and then to have the flu in the middle of it with 2 rounds of shingles to top the whole thing of is almost too much to imagine. Shingles are a bear and then to have to give up your arthritis meds is just mean. I have a friend who has the same kind of problems and I see how much pain she can be in when the meds have to wait for other illnesses. I wish you a new year filled with great health and extreme creativity. You are already at that creative level, now you just need to stay well. 🙂

Well Lady Bug, you did it. I like the medallion snow man in the middle! So proud of you for hanging in there. I wonder if we could get an immune system transplant! I was so sorry to hear that you have been so ill. It was good to hear your voice yesterday and enjoyed our talk – we had some laughs over our lovely Flu, etc. Hang in there – the shots will take hold and hopefully by this time next year…LOL you will feel like yourself! I am not going to eat another cough drop once I lose the stupid hang around cough!!
The 2017 flu is going to go down in history as one of the worst in over 20 years around here! Next year I will pay more attention on the outbreak – then I will become a Bear and hybernate as I never want to be this sick again, of if I do I will just check into the hospital for a vacation while they take care of me! LOL
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND YOU STAY HEALTHY!!!!!

One can get shingles a second time? Yikes — I guess I do need that shot… I hope you’re feeling better.

I really like how you finished this! The scrappy sashing borders add a lot of fun. The panel center is perfect for this project. What a cute quilt. Thank you for quilting along with us!
You are amazing, finishing this despite the flu and shingles. The flu this year is very bad they say. Ugh. So far it’s missed me (crossing fingers). I’ve had shingles more than once as well. Funny how they never say you can get it multiple times. It is the worst thing EVER so I have a lot of sympathy for your pain. And not being able to take your meds on top of that must have made for a miserable time. For everything–your perseverance and the lovely quilt you made as a result, I hope you win the grand prize! Good luck!
