Charm Packs to give away and Show my appreciation

I have been truly amazed at how much enjoyment and satisfaction I get from my blog.  It makes me feel like I am surrounded by like minded friends who all love the same thing. I managed to get over 200 followers and more than 7000 views.   So, to say thank you, I am giving away 2 charm packs.  They are Soho calico’s.  I love the colors.  Lots of teals and greens.  I figured that 2 charm packs can easily be turned into something awesome.  I have recently started a “Zipper Quilt” with two of my favorite charm packs.  I am sure I will show some photos as soon as I have a bit more to show.

Even though I spend my days at work as a “Nerd Whisperer”.  I am going to do this the Non-scientific or non nerdy way.  Just leave me a comment with your first name and name of a favorite quilt that you made.  You have until the last day of April to comment and then on May 1st, I will put everyone’s name in a bowl and have someone from my house draw the lucky winner.  I will notify you all of the winner.  Best of luck to everyone.

Happy Sewing

  1. Your charm packs are lovely! I don’t need fabric though so please don’t put my name in . I hope someone gets it who needs a brighter for the day.😊 I have this problem with quilts…. I love a log cabin until I see a 4 patch quilt then I love that one then I see a double wedding ring quilt and promptly forget that the other two were my favorites….

  2. Since I’m a beginner at the quilting thing, my favorite so far was the flannel ragtime; my very first quilt. I don’t need to be entered for the charm pack but do very much want to know what a Nerd Whisperer does. I’m fascinated. Thanks, Marlene

      1. That makes perfect sense to me. Both of my children (older adults) are techies. I see how they work to explain tech to people who don’t understand. I can be pretty geeky myself and I’m proud of it. 🙂 Thanks for the explanation.

  3. Deanna stopping by. My favorite quilt is usually the most recent one finished. 🙂 But, right now my continued favorite is on the guest room bed–my Hundred Patch made from 1-1/2″ squares–about 5700 pieces. Thanks for the giveaway chance.

  4. I am hand quilting my first quilt right now. I don’t know the name of the pattern but I called it easy. I definitely know that I will continue to stitch quilts and to hand quilt. I’m loving this process and at 65 I only wish I had started this years ago.

  5. Hi, my name is Sharon and one of my favorite quilts is called “Garden Gate”. I like it mostly because of the quilting design I used called Dot and Dash. I use a picture of it for my blog header. Congrats on your blog stats and thanks for the giveaway!

  6. It is difficult to choose my favorite quilt, since each one has such a special story.
But I think my very first quilt that I made for my grandson is my favorite.
I can still feel the excitement of seeing each log cabin block pieced. I loved mixing fabric and creating my own design. It was called Judah’s Jamboree. Each log cabin was built around a printed animal, such as a lion. I wrote a book to go with the quilt.

My favorite quilt I’ve made is of course the only one I never photographed. It was a wedding ring quilt in pastels a lady paid me to make. I could kick myself.

  8. Susan. Film at ‘leven. By another name, it’s actually one of Wedding Dress Blue’s designs. I truthfully love every single quilt. That is so nice of you to do this giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win. Your method of pick is my favorite, actually. LOL

  9. My current favorite is the layout I just designed that goes with the block design that I’ll be submitting for publication to QuiltMaker for their 100 Block magazine…..haven’t come up with a name yet tho….lol. That and the teddy bear quilt that i’ve been designing the blocks for and have been posting on my blog.
    thanks for the giveway!
