Quilting Small pieces seems easier

I found that quilting this piece was easier than others. I think it is because it is small and it made doing things other than meandering easier. While I feel slightly better about my quilting, I am pretty sure as soon as I go to bigger piece I will have the same issues.

I also like Halloween. I have another embroidered Halloween piece that I need to turn into something. I can’t just sit in front of the TV. My hands must always be occupied. So, I wind up embroidering something that I can put in my quilts.

I know, practice, practice, practice the quilting.

I want to get to a point where I can do the quilting with ease……

Happy Sewing.
Happy Quilting.

  1. Yep, size matters. LOL I find up to about 60 x 60 is manageable on a domestic machine, baby quilts and wall hangings, much easier. Anything bigger than that and I want a longarm – so I keep them for someday when I have one again, or send them out, if I actually want to give them away. =)

  2. Oh, and I meant to say this looks so Halloween-y! I love handwork, too, and am really bad about turning my crazy quilting into an actual quilt. I’ll have five CQJP by the end of this year, and only one is actually sewn together. Next year. =) I look forward to seeing what you do with your other Halloween project. There’s a row by row BOM at a shop in California that I’m watching someone do, and it is just so cute.
